Nice Bachelorette Party Games

Arranging for bachelorette parties is the easiest thing in a wedding plan and there are ideas galore and options unlimited for games of which many are racy and many plain funs.

In a popular bachelorette game guests have to become poets. 50 index cards are taken and in the first 25 cards romantic things like “roses”, “cuddly” are written. The other 25 cards have nonromantic words or phrases like “nose hairs” or “ironing”. Each guest draws a card from each pile and compose a silly poem based on the two different words or phrase they have chosen like “Roses are red; your nose hairs are ewwwww.

“Name that item” is another fun game which elicits some laughter. Take a paper bag and fill it with all male items like a razor, a money clip, a tie, shoe polish etc. Seal the bag and fold it over really well. Let the guests feel the bag and guess the contents and write them on a piece of paper. After every one has finished, the contents are shown and the person with the maximum correct guesses gets the bag itself.

This game involves the whole bachelorette party and guests and makes them familiar to one another. The video proves that all had a good time. Better to have more video cameras and enough blank tapes for this game.

The party I divided in to two or more groups depending on the number of guests in the party. Small teams will be better to get into one car. Each team may have five women and given a video camera, blank video tapes and a list of “scavenger hunt” type of activities they must perform and tape.

Some video scavenger hunt ideas require a total stranger sing the national anthem, and a member sing “I wish I were Oscar Meyer hot dog” in the meat section of the grocery store. It also includes taping a stranger doing a good impersonation of John Wayne. The teams should finish their assigned task in the stipulated time and return to the party location. The videos are viewed and the best team is voted. Bonus points are awarded for the team with its own stunts.

Bachelorette parties are arranged not merely for fun but to familiarize to one another. Thus the bride’s best friend will know the sister of the groom. The bride can also be familiar with the groom’s cousin or niece. So it is not a bad idea to have an ice breaker game.

This cannot be called the most intellectual or an ice breaker game. But it will break ice before evening when you go out for other events. Play a game called “I never ….” and see who takes the most drinks. The first woman says “I never … and completes the sentence. The woman who have done the thing first woman says she has never done take a drink. Then the next woman claims to have “never” done something. Some suggestions for this game are: “I never…”lied about my age, “lied about my weight, “shop lifted”, “got a speeding ticket, “ran naked through my house”.
