In this game, a person is the master of ceremonies and this can be the DJ of the wedding reception. There is a list of wants prepared before the reception. Everyone waits at the table to hear the command when the MC wants a person with painted toe nails. All women with painted toe nails rush to the MC and the table which sends the person first to the front gets a point. Points are counted last and prizes awarded at the end. Have some clear “wants” like painted toenails or a man with a moustache or a child with a pink dress or a man with a brown purse when he collected it from a woman at the table and runs to meet the MC.

Musical chair is another fun wedding reception game when all men line up and kneel on one knee while the women play the game. When the music stops they should sit on a particular knee. There are no “chairs” at all. If either the man or the woman fell down both are eliminated. This fun game is hilarious and heightens the relaxed reception atmosphere.

Guests coming from a greater distance can know each other and the bride and the groom through some interesting fun game. A MC is necessary for this fun game who should be an out going member of the wedding party. The reception guests are broken into two groups, having people count off 1,2,1,2 till the total guest list is a 1 or 2. Then they can join for the duration of the game.

When the MC asks a few questions on the bride and the groom teams should put their heads together and answer the questions. The couple will confirm if the answers are correct. This is an excellent way for stranger guests to know one another and have fun also and know the bride and groom.

By organizing games at the wedding reception you actively involve the guests and make them feel that they are all a part of the celebration. It also fills time if there is no dancing group. Reception games work for just about any group.
