Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Games

During wedding rehearsal dinners you relax, calm down and enjoy a quite evening before the great event the next day. By adding some games and fun in to the rehearsal dinner you can let off some steam, calm down and enjoy.

Fun games and activities can still be there on the menu while you plan a sit down formal dinner. Such interesting activities are not only good but excellent. These fun activities greatly serve to release the great stress and strain from the internal planning of close friends and family members.

It is not just the planning but on the venue that the success or failure of any game activities depends. For a sit down dinner at a restaurant get a private room where a myriad fun activities can be planned like “pin the veil on the bride” Here the guests are blind folded and after spinning round a few times attempt to pin the veil on the picture of the bride. Though silly it is yet a fun.

Another fun activity that blows off some steam is charade. The person enacts a scene from the life of the bride or groom like graduating from the college or getting a huge promotion at work. He/she may even enact how and when the bride tripped and fell at another person’s wedding or when the groom saved a dog from a hit by the car. This little twist on charades makes people familiar to the bride and groom and brings intimacy to what is already intimate.

In a less formal rehearsal dinner at someone’s home activities like a night of playing board games can be arranged. There need not be any formal food which you can have the next day at the formal wedding. The games are at the centre stage at the rehearsal dinner party. Dress yourself comfortably and sit for a night of board games with a few sandwiches by your side.

Sit up games on different table, divide people into groups of 4 and 5 and let everyone rotate tables at fixed intervals. The players are told that when they move to another table the game stays out as it is. For example dad might play Monopoly where the bride was and he is tuck with only a little money in the bank and no houses on board walk.

If the bride and groom are lovers of sport and the wedding is held in the day long summer a game of touch football or baseball can be tried. It can be bride’s family vs. groom’s family or men against women or the bride vs. groom’s family and the grooms vs. bride’s family. Any combination works purely for fun, relaxation and enjoyment of each othr’s company.

Out door and physical activities, distress people. The bride cannot be a “bridezilla”. A game of tag can be included or create two bride maid’s dress up trunks fill the trunks with old prom dresses, large sized shoes, and costume jewelry. Let two guest teams be there and have some one sit with a timer. The team who dresses one of the men first wins. Photograph the rehearsal dinner event as you want to have these pictures.
